A life not lived

Breathing can’t be
the only difference
between existing and living
Here, the years have passed
yet a life is not lived
Misplaced, by the gods
not in your arms
but in a faraway corner
dark, cold and lonely
You an angel lost
in a city of words
and I , the child
in those years not lived.

  1. Respirare non può essere l’unica differenza tra esistere e vivere,
    Qui, gli anni passano, una vita non è ancora stata vissuta.
    Posta fuori luogo dagli dei, non nelle tue braccia ma in un angolo lontano
    oscuro, freddo e solitario.
    Tu angelo perso in una città di parole ed io, bambina in questi anni non vissuti.

      • Thanks, and another translation in Esperanto, the language I wanted to learn because I felt in love with its idea. Maybe you never heard of it, anyway… :

        La spirado ne povas estis la sola malsameco inter vivado kaj ekzistado.
        Tie ĉi, la jaroj forpasis sed ankoraŭ vivo ne estis vivata.
        Mislokita fare de deoj, ne en viaj brakoj, sed en malproksima angulo
        malluma, malvarma kaj sola.
        Vi, anĝelo perdiĝinta en urbo el vortoj kaj mi, la infano ne vivanta dum tiuj ĉi jaroj.
